DAVID LIPSCHUTZ (he/him/his) loves his Handbag family. Although he joined the company in 2013, he has been performing with Handbag since 2009 when he portrayed Acres in POSEIDON: AN UPSIDE-DOWN MUSICAL. Since then, he has worked on nearly two dozen Handbag productions. Acting credits include Reverend Scott in the 2019 POSEIDON: AN UPSIDE-DOWN MUSICAL, Zachary Slade in THE ARTIFICIAL JUNGLE, Doug Henning in THE RIP NELSON HOLIDAY SPECTACULAR, and Billy Nolan in SCARRIE. He directed THE GOLDEN GIRLS: THE LOST EPISODES, VOL. 1, HOLIDAY EDITION and the staged reading of PSYCHO BEACH PARTY, and he co-wrote (with David Cerda) THE GOLDEN GIRLS: THE LOST EPISODES, VOL. 3 (which was also performed with IndyFringe/LAFF Shows in Indianapolis). Outside of Handbag, he has worked throughout Chicago, including with Victory Gardens, Broken Nose Theatre, Black Button Eyes, and BPBCo (company member). By day, David is an attorney and performs in the courtroom. BC/KJOC.
