CAITLIN JACKSON

Caitlin Jackson did her first play when she was 5 and has kept on going, pretty much, ever since. She grew up performing and training in Indiana where she worked with Young Actor’s Theatre, Indiana Repertory Theatre, Indianapolis Civic Theatre, Boone County Civic Theatre, Edyvean Repertory, Theatre on the Square and the American Cabaret Theatre, as well as other theatres in and around the Indianapolis area.

She moved to Chicago in 1997 to study acting at The Chicago Academy for the Performing Arts, and then majored in performance at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Since living in Chicago, Caitlin has performed with Dark Knight, Chase Park, Walkabout Theatre/Knife & Fork, Ludicrous Theatre, Wayward, Strangeloop, Circle Theatre (The View Upstairs), Refuge Theatre Project ("Liz" in the Jeff Award Winning production and remount of High Fidelity), New American Folk Theatre where she is a co-founder, casting director and frequent performer (Hot Pink and Ready to Blow, Trash) and with Cowardly Scarecrow, Musical of the Living Dead (2013) and most recently as "Sally Bowles" in Cabaret (2019), she received a 2019 Non-Equity Best Supporting Actor (Musical) Jeff Nomination for her role as "Cheryl" in Evil Dead: The Musical with Black Button Eyes who she also frequently performs with. Her most notable Handbag contribution is as co-creator and star of the hit show, Bette LIVE at the Continental Baths which has been produced four times since it's debut in 2015.
